This burglary occurred recently in the San Jose Evergreen neighborhood on the 3200 block of Delta Road. The suspect wore a face mask but was made less suspicious due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, and he brazenly walked in broad daylight to break into the victim's home. The burglary suspect was caught on surveillance cameras, as shown below, approaching and fleeing from the crime scene. The suspect's photo and a photo of the getaway car, a white 4-door BMW sedan, are shown below.
The victim arrived home while the burglary was in progress. He spent an extra minute to go to his mailbox after opening the garage door, thus giving the suspect time to flee. Had the victim entered the house through the front door, a confrontation would likely have happened. (BTW, in July 2019, the victim's neighbor, who lived on the 3200 block of Montecito Drive, 1 block away from Delta Road, was murdered when his home was burglarized.)
Upon viewing the surveillance videos below, the victim mentioned he felt very fortunate to not have been a homicide victim that day, arriving home while his house was being burglarized. This criminal is still out there, and he needs to be caught before he can harm another victim. We’d like to raise public awareness to be vigilant during this Covid-19 pandemic, and the victim is offering a $10,000 reward to anyone who can provide information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of this burglary suspect.

Video 1: Suspect seen walking to the right fence gate (~ 12:09 PM).
Video 2: Victim arrived home 15 minutes later while the burglary was in progress (~ 12:25 PM). Victim spent about 1 minute to go check on the mailbox (~ 12:25:40 PM).
Video 3: About 1 minute later, the suspect was seen fleeing from the left side fence (~ 12:27 PM). And afterwards, he walked across the street.

A year ago in July 2019, another neighbor’s home, only 1 block away from Delta Road, was burglarized while he was home. Unfortunately, he was murdered by the burglars. Here’s the news footage of that burglary.
